Guinn and Ryan met in 2011 at Savannah’s staple dive bar, The Rail. Ryan was doing his typical jukebox take over and accepting requests from other patrons. Finding out that they are both from New England and had frequented the same local establishments in RI a few years apart they became fast friends. At that time Guinn was the Director of Operations at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah and Ryan was climbing the ranks at Gulf Stream. Over the years they spent many weekends visiting all the Savannah hospitality favorites and welcoming the new ones to come. When Ryan moved to Germany, they spent a few weeks traveling around Europe exploring what other countries had to offer. Portugal and Spain stole their hearts with the culture of SOBREMESA, sitting with friends, old and new, around a simple table with delicious wine, chatting, laughing and sharing stories well into the night.  For years these two friends talked about their dream of bringing this feeling to their hometown since there were no places in Savannah with the same relaxed vibe where lingering was encouraged.  Ryan and Guinn hope to host the locals of Savannah at Sobremesa to experience the moment and help everyone remember that it is our time spent with people we love that really matters.
